Whistler’s premiere snowboard club. Developing some of Canada’s top snowboarders and training the stars of tomorrow, doing it with style and purpose since 1997.
Since 1997 Rob Picard and the rest of the WVSC coaching staff has been using the world class free ride and terrain park available at Whistler Blackcomb to develop young riders into lifelong lovers of snowboarding and mountain culture. Now, 25 years later WVSC is the longest running snowboard club in Canada, and has helped foster the careers and lives of many Canadian and international snowboard industry identities, well beyond the competitive sphere.
At WVSC our programs are designed around a clear and simple progression which is the foundation for all good snowboarding. This progression sets our members up to pursue snowboarding on their own terms, in their own way, with the fundamentals in place to be able to foot it with the best in the world in any discipline, or just be able to rip some turns, boost some hits, and slay the mountain with friends.
WVSC Nationally certified coaches include some of the best snowboarders in the industry. Led by Joe McAdoo, the coaching programs will encourage hard work, self-discipline and dedication, providing a solid foundation for success in every aspect of life.
The aggregate coaching experience of our staff is well over one hundred years, and individuals have coached all the way to the XGames, World Championships, and Olympic levels. This deep experience is unparalleled in Canada. Our coaches know and understand how to get the best out of our riders, and how to guide them to exceed even what they thought possible, all whilst keeping them safe, and having fun throughout the season.
